I have been advising private collectors for more than 15 years on all aspects of their collections, from acquisitions to curating. Here I am with a members of The Exchange collectors group touring the studio of Antony Gormley.
Since 2017 I have been the Collection Adviser to The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon and I advise on policy and strategy, care of the collection, dissemination of the collection and managing the acquisitions process.
I advise collectors on works to buy from early to mid-career artists, arrange studio visits, provide assistance with galleries and art fairs internationally, to acquire works which can then proudly hang in their homes or businesses.
In 2018, the Board of VISUAL, Ireland’s largest physical gallery space, asked me to take over as Interim Artistic Director. During my tenure I led the organisation during the recruitment process for a new CEO.
I have advised many institutions at board of directors’ level.Over the past twenty years I have served on boards of directors for Belfast Exposed Gallery, the Crawford Art Gallery and Solstice Arts Centre amongst other galleries and public institutions
